
Lead the foundational skills team (curriculum, assessment and teacher support) in developing curriculum materials for literacy, numeracy and life skills and values, that are aligned with national frameworks.
lead the development, testing and refinement of teacher training and support modes to strengthen instructional practices.
provide technical leadership in translating research insights into curriculum innovations, teacher support tools and oversee rapid testing and documentation of new pedagogical approaches.
liaison with government agencies, ministry of education and ecosystem actors/partners to support the integration of impactful models into government systems for scale; and providing technical input into policy briefs and foundational learning policies and guidelines.
Background
Over the past eight years, I have spearheaded the design, implementation, and monitoring of impactful foundational learning initiatives at Mizizi in different capacities. As a manager Accelerated Learning Program; senior manager and currently as programs lead. My contribution has positively impacted hundreds of children, parents, and communities by advancing equitable access to quality learning. In a career spanning 14 years in program leadership, I have led and supported different initiatives focusing on improving foundational learning outcomes, including the Opportunity Schools (WERK), Accelerated Learning Program (ALP - Zizi) and internationally, with VSO International. I strongly believe in education as a powerful tool for equity and lifelong success.
